Freed Gallery is in Lincoln City Oregon , which is a very up scale gallery on the Oregon coast it has a wide variety of paintings, sculpture and glass. There will be 100 artists in the Portland area showing and demonstrating the work in their studio. My studio is in the Aquila Glass School at 1628 N Columbia Blvd. and I will be in the studio between 10:AM and 5:PM both days. The piece measures 22" diameter and is 6.5" high, the little women are 2" tall.&lt;/div&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;div&gt;This piece was commissioned by a collector who saw the original Little Women on display in a glass show. Like the original Little Women this is a collaborative work with a fellow teacher and studio partner Leah &lt;span id="SPELLING_ERROR_0" class="blsp-spelling-error"&gt;Pellegrini&lt;/span&gt;. Leah made the "Little Women", I fused and slumped the black "Saturn" bowl. I have had the idea for this for over a year but had to make the mold for slumping it and working out the bugs to get the final shape. the piece is 22" in diameter and 6" high. It is 22" in diameter and about 10" high. It started as an experiment to see if I could "drop" a bowl through a + 22" circle, it worked ! After it was completed I thought it look great with a top or cover on it so I slumped a bowl, made a marble and attached it to the under side of the bowl and made a lid for the lower bowl. The bowl is 7" high X 9" diameter, the platter is 22" square and 1" deep. The glass is a "Curious" glass, only five sheets of this glass were made and I was able to get four of the sheets. The two colors are French Vanilla and &lt;span id="SPELLING_ERROR_0" class="blsp-spelling-corrected"&gt;Khaki&lt;/span&gt;. It is a variation of my ABRACADABRA Series. This time using spring green and black for the &lt;span id="SPELLING_ERROR_0" class="blsp-spelling-corrected"&gt;mosaic&lt;/span&gt; effect. The bowl is 9 3/8" in diameter and 6 1/2" in height at the tip. It has a high gloss interior with a satin finish on the outside.
